Quintetto Bislacco

Duilio Galfetti: violin, mandolin, guitar , arrangements
Roberto Molinelli: viola, arrangements
Marco Radaelli: cello
Federico Marchesano: double bass

From Mozart to I Cugini di Campagna, from Charlie Parker to Bach, from Strauss to Beethoven, the territory of the Quintetto Bislacco is music without borders; a new way to listen to music played with "classic" instruments.
Masterpieces of history intertwine without barriers, underlining that the great charm of music is precisely that of having no limits.

Strengths of the quintet are the great care in the arrangements, the virtuosity, the research and study of the different musical genres dealt with and the mastery of the stage, a dimension in which the Quintetto Bislacco expresses all its vital charge, involving the public in a show. always fun and exciting.

The five musicians, based in Lugano, come from different orchestras (Teatro Regio Torino, Teatro alla Scala Milan, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Filarmonica della Scala), and have a single goal: to stay there as little as possible and bring the Quintet wherever there is a distracted and bored audience to make him return to love the whole Music.

In addition to the well-established collaboration with Swiss Italian Radio (since 2007),  Quintetto Bislacco has joined the radio exploit at Rai Radio3 InFestival 2009, enjoying enormous success with audiences, critics and radio listeners. In June of the same year, the Stradivarius record company released the first work "Jokes".
The promotion of "Jokes" has led Quintetto Bislacco to play in many important festivals, including:
Mito Settembre Musica, Musical Weeks of Grado, Concert Evenings of Italian Switzerland, The sounds of the Dolomites, Stresa Festival 2010 (where the Bislacco was officially recognized as "best event" by the public and critics), LAC Lugano, Morcote Classic Festival, Contrada Larga Trento, Unione Musicale.

2010 was also the year that saw the quintet star in two episodes of the RTSI "Paganini" television program, in which the most important soloists and chamber musicians of the world music scene are invited; for this occasion 12 videoclips have been prepared with the most significant pieces of the Quintetto Bislacco repertoire.

Quintetto Bislacco recently embarked on a new adventure, further expanding their sonic possibilities. Thus was born the concert program for Quintet and String Orchestra, performed with La Camerata dei Castelli and with the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra, with great response from audiences and critics.
The adventure will continue in June 2023 with an entire Symphony Orchestra: the Orchestra of Italian Switzerland conducted by maestro Markus Poschner. The concert will be premiered at the LAC in Lugano on 22/06/2023.
